What work is starting?
What: Toronto Hydro crews will be relocating overhead Hydro utilities at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East ahead of headwall construction for the future Bayview Station.
Why: Headwalls are required to be in place prior to the arrival of tunnel boring machines at each of the stations. Construction of the headwalls requires the utilities to be safely relocated. Depending on site conditions, this could include moving gas, hydro, water mains, sewers, telephone lines and traffic lights and street lighting to allow for the installation.
When: Starting as early as mid-June, 2015, and for several weeks, Toronto Hydro crews will be working at different corners of the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East. This work will take place in the following locations in a sequence to be determined by Toronto Hydro. Some work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances.
