What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday, February 13, 2023, crews at Avenue Station will begin traffic signal installations and sidewalk construction on the south side of Eglinton Avenue at Oriole Parkway. To facilitate this work safely, the traffic median in the middle of Oriole Parkway will be removed and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. This work will take approximately one (1) month to complete.
What to Expect
Crews will remove the existing traffic signals and sidewalks at the Oriole-Eglinton intersection. Upon completion of the works, new traffic signals and sidewalks will be installed. Work zones will be in place at the south-west and south-east corners of the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday, February 13, 2023, for approximately one (1) month
- Construction activities are expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overnight work may be required to facilitate utility works
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- The traffic median in the middle of Oriole Parkway will be removed ‘
- Southbound traffic on Oriole Parkway will be reduced to one lane
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- Temporary pedestrian rerouting may be required
