What Work is Taking Place?

On Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19, crews will work over the weekend to reconfigure the traffic signals at Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road. This work requires intermittent lane closures. When required, Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road will be reduced to one lane only at the intersection, alternating traffic in each direction. Work will take place between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

Hours of Work

 

  • Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19 
  • 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
  • Construction vehicles will occupy one laneway at a time on Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road.

Traffic and Pedestrian Changes

 

  • Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road will be reduced to one lane only at the intersection, alternating traffic in each direction.
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.
  • All pedestrian routes will remain the same.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
