What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, May 16, 2022, crews at Caledonia Station will be performing electrical installations at Blackthorn Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate this work safely, a short-term closure road closure on Blackthorn Avenue at Eglinton Avenue West will be required. This work is expected to take place for one (1) day between approximately 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

What to Expect

Expect delayed while travelling through the area. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, May 16, 2022, for approximately one (1) day.
  • Construction activities are expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled of delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work may be longer of shorter than expected.

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • A road closure will be in effect on Blackthorn Avenue at Eglinton Avenue West.
  • The eastbound right turn from Eglinton Avenue East onto Blackthorn Avenue will be restricted.
  • The westbound left turn on Eglinton Avenue West onto Blackthorn Avenue will be restricted.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.

  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
