What work is taking place?
As the construction of the elevated guideway progresses, crews will be dismantling occupation of Black Creek Drive in early March 2019. The new traffic configuration is depicted below.
Hours of work
- The traffic changes are expected to be implemented in early March 2019.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Traffic lane restrictions on Black Creek Drive will be removed.
- The north and east crosswalks at the Black Creek Drive and Eglinton intersection will remain closed.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect some noise in the area caused by a concrete pump, boom trucks, trucks and other construction equipment, as well as dust from debris removal.
- Overnight work to assist in the removal of concrete barriers and road repair
- In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
Travelling Smart during Construction
- Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
