What Work is Taking Place
A drill rig will be on site to drill the remaining support piles for the main entrance at Mount Dennis Station.
Hours of Work
- Work is expected to begin as early as October 29, 2018 and last for approximately 4 weeks.
- Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, 6 days a week.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
- Occasional overnight work may be required. Metrolinx will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout. No overnight work is currently planned for this scope of work.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect noise in the area caused by a pile drill, crane, loaders, trucks and other construction equipment, as well as dust from drilling activity and debris removal.
- Heavy truck traffic entering and exiting the work zone, and traveling through nearby streets can be expected.
- In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
- For safety purposes, fencing will be erected around the work zone.
- All access to businesses is maintained throughout the work.
Traffic and Pedistrian Details
- The existing traffic configuration will remain for the duration of this work.
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
