What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Friday October 22, 2021, crews will be adjusting catch basins, preforming permanent traffic light installations, and curb restoration works at Eglinton Avenue West and Caledonia Road. To facilitate this work safely, eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to a single thru lane. The northbound left turn at the intersection will be restricted for the duration of this work. All pedestrian access will be maintained. This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for approximately six (6) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Friday October 22, 2021, for approximately six (6) weeks.
- This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eastbound traffic will be reduced to a single thru lane on Eglinton Avenue West.
- The northbound left turn at the intersection will be restricted for the duration of this work.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- The eastbound TTC bus stop on the southwest corner of Eglinton Avenue West and Caledonia Road will be temporarily relocated 10 metres west for the duration of this work [TTC route St Clair - Junction 312]
