What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday, April 25, 2022, crews at Eglinton Station will begin phase three of dry utility installations at Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. To accommodate these works, the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, between Yonge Street and 20 Eglinton Avenue West (Eglinton Tower Entrance) will be closed. A temporary walkway will be created south of the closure to maintain access for pedestrians traveling east and west on Eglinton Avenue. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately four (4) months. For more information, please review the complete notice or visit www.thecrosstown.ca What to Expect Construction activities including excavation, concrete works, and conduit installations will take place on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, and at the north-west corner of the Yonge-Eglinton intersection. Pedestrian rerouting around the work zones. Noise from trucks and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Concrete barriers, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate the work zones. Traffic control personnel will be present, while the pedestrian changes are being implemented. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Access to businesses and properties is expected to be maintained at all times.
HOURS OF WORK

Construction activities are expected to take place Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Extended construction hours are currently underway and will continue during this work.
- This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
