Update: Resumption of Construction at Chaplin Station Tertiary Entrance

In April 2019, crews will be resuming work at the Tertiary Entrance site, located east of Chaplin Crescent on the south side of Eglinton Avenue adjacent the old Toronto Fire Hall.  Pile installation of the north wall of the Tertiary Entrance (at Eglinton Avenue) will commence.  Pedestrians rerouting and truck staging will be in effect.  Please read ‘What to Expect’ below.

Upcoming Construction Configuration




  • Pile installation will begin in mid-April 2019 for approximately one (1) month
  • Pedestrian rerouting will be in effect starting April 9, 2019
  • Regular construction hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.


What to Expect

  • Pedestrians will be rerouted slightly north around the Tertiary Entrance work zone
  • Trucks will be staged in the northbound lane of Chaplin Cres south of Eglinton Ave for approximately three (3) hours per day while pile installation is underway
  • Construction vehicles will access the site via the Chaplin Cres-Russell Hill Rd laneway
  • Property access, including access to the laneway, will be maintained
  • Noise from construction, site lighting and truck traffic can be expected
  • For safety, additional fencing, scaffolding, barriers, dust cloth and/or signage may be in place
  • Expect delays when travelling through the intersection
