What Work is Taking Place?
As early as, Monday, January 9, 2023, crews at Avenue Station will perform fire hydrant testing at the Main Entrance site. To facilitate this work, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Avenue Road and Braemar Avenue. The sidewalk south of the Main Entrance site will also be closed during this work. The westbound TTC Stop located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Avenue Road, will be relocated slightly west (refer to graphic above). Construction activities are expected to take place between approximately 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the area. A traffic control personnel and/or paid duty officer will be present while this work is taking place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday, January 9, 2023
- Construction activities are expected to take place between approximately 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Avenue Road and Braemar Avenue.
- The westbound TTC Stop located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Avenue Road, will be relocated slightly west (refer to graphic above).
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk south of the Main Entrance site will be closed during this work.
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- The westbound TTC Stop located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Avenue Road, will be relocated slightly west (refer to graphic above).
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
