UPDATE: Traffic Configuration Change at Fairbank Station - December 13, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

This traffic configuration change has been delayed and will now take place as early as Monday December 13, 2021, at Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street.A. Traffic on Dufferin Street will  shift to the centre of the road and construction will move to the east and west lanes. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will remain in the centre lanes. One lane of through traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street. All turns at the intersection will remain prohibited.  This traffic configuration is expected to remain in place through January 2022.

What to Expect

Traffic on Dufferin Street will  shift to the centre of the road. Noise from construction activities can be expected.  Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.  Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while the traffic changes are being implemented.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Monday December 13, 2021, through January 2022.
• Overnight work may be required to implement the new configuration.
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Traffic on Dufferin Street will shift to the centre of the road.
• Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will remain in the centre of the road.
• One lane of through traffic will be maintained along Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street.
• All turns at the intersection will remain prohibited.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The east sidewalk on Dufferin Street north of Eglinton Avenue West will be reinstated.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• The southbound TTC stop located north of the main entrance will be temporarily relocated 20 metres north on Dufferin Street.
