What Work is Taking Place?

Crews continue bridge rehabilitation works at the CP Bridge (east of Leslie Street). Working hours will be extended to 1:30 a.m. September 14-18 and September 21-25, 2020. Structural steel repairs and concrete works may take place between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Extended hours are required for crew safety, as paint removal must take place independently of all other construction activities. Bridge rehabilitation works include rust and paint removal, painting, replacing structural steel elements and performing concrete repairs.

What to Expect

Noise can be expected from concrete chipping and other rehabilitation works. Crews will be using a sand blaster for rust removal; dust mitigation measures will be implemented for these activities.
