What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Friday, December 2, 2022, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue West between Shortt Street and 1801 Eglinton Avenue West and on Dufferin Street between Livingstone Avenue and 2339 Dufferin Street. To accommodate this work, periodic lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue West between Shortt Street and 1801 Eglinton Avenue West and on Dufferin Street between Livingstone Avenue and 2339 Dufferin Street. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street. Dynevor Road and the laneway will be temporarily closed while work takes place at these immediate areas. Asphalt grinding is expected to take place between 7:00am and 6:00pm of Friday December 2, 2022. Final asphalt paving is expected to take place from 8:00pm on Friday December 2, until 7:00am on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Shortt Street will remain accessible at all times for the Fairbank Village BIAs “Light Up the Holidays” event taking place on December 3, 2022, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
What to Expect
Driveways and roads on Eglinton Avenue West between Shortt Street and 1801 Eglinton Avenue West and on Dufferin Street between Livingstone Avenue and 2339 Dufferin Street will have restricted access for approximately four (4) hours for the duration of the work in the immediate area. Properties affected by this restriction will be contacted directly. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting can be expected. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place. Upon completion of the work the road will reopen.
HOURS OF WORK
• As early as Friday, December 2, 2022, for approximately one (1) day.
- Asphalt grinding is expected to take place between 7:00am and 6:00pm of Friday December 2, 2022.
- Final asphalt paving is expected to take place from 8:00pm on Friday December 2, until 7am on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
