What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the preparation works for deep excavation in the future Main Entrance of Fairbank Station, crews will be working until 3:00am from Tuesday July 23rd to Friday July 26th. This work will be noisy, due to the use of drills and jackhammers. All works will take place within the Main Entrance work zone.  

Hours of Work

 

  • Tuesday July 23rd to Friday July 26th, until as late as 3:00am
  • In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen delays, this work will be rescheduled for the week of July 29th.

What to Expect

 

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect noise in the area caused by jackhammering and drilling operations.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open.
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
