Crews will complete works to connect water and sewer services at the main and secondary entrances and designated park area for Avenue Station. Crews are also performing hydro utility works in the designated park area to complete a temporary power connection.  For the safety of the public and workers, temporary pedestrian and traffic changes will be in effect to accommodate this work.  Work will occur in stages to minimize traffic disruptions.

Hours of Work/What to Expect

  • Installation works will occur during permitted hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m..
  • Work will begin as early as Monday, May 22 and will take approximately three(3) days 

Traffic and Pedestrian Details

  • 1.5 m sidewalk will be maintained for pedestrians.
  • Lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road in the vicinity of the construction zone.
  • Parking spots may be impacted in certain areas to accommodate traffic flow with reduced lanes.
  • Temporary turn restrictions may be required.
  • Any work required in Eglinton Park will be coordinated with appropriate authorities.

Transit Impacts

  • Short duration relocation of bus stops is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers. Please watch for posted notices indicating new information.
