UPDATE: WATERMAIN LINING & TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Watermain lining work is complete at Avenue Station. Over three days starting as soon as October 16th, crews will complete the final removal of the temporary water service pipes and restore the pavement in the laneway and in the right of way on Eglinton Avenue West, east of Avenue Road. Work will occur during the daytime off-peak hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) however on-street parking on Eglinton Avenue, east of Avenue Road will not be impacted during this time. Works will also occur in evening off-peak hours (7 p.m. to 7 a.m) and on-street parking on Eglinton Avenue, east of Avenue Road will be impacted during this time.

 

Line painting in the area will also be refreshed during this time.

 

TIMING

 

  • The restoration works will occur on October 16th to 19th.
  • Work will occur between 9AM to 4PM and 7PM to 7AM.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Residents and businesses near the work zone can expected to hear noise from construction equipment and paving equipment.
  • Vehicles may continue to park in the laneway as usual. Access in and out of the laneway will be maintained; there may be a short delay while equipment is relocated.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.  
  • Work during the daytime off-peak hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will not impact on-street parking on Eglinton Avenue, east of Avenue Road.
  • Work during evening off-peak hours (7 p.m. to 7 a.m) will impact on-street parking on Eglinton Avenue, east of Avenue Road.
