What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be upgrading and relocating wet utilities along Eglinton Avenue between east of Kennedy Road to west of Midland Avenue, including the North Service Road.

Hours of Work

  • Beginning as early as mid-January 2018 for approximately 2.5 months.
  • Permitted hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday and occasional overnight work.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Lane closures and pedestrian rerouting will be in effect.
  • Signage will be placed to advise motorists and/or pedestrians of any changes.
  • TTC bus stops may be relocated away from work zones to minimize impact on the community and customers.
  • For safety, fencing, dust cloth, barriers and scaffolding may be erected around work zones.
  • Noise, dust and lighting from construction activity can be expected.
  • Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when traveling near work zones.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
