What Work is Taking Place?

Starting as early as Monday, September 24th, 2018 and lasting approximately three (3) weeks, crews will install new pipes, and replace manholes and catch basins. This work supports the upgrade of water infrastructure across Eglinton Avenue East for the future Crosstown surface stops.
Hours of Work
- Beginning as early as Monday, September 24, 2018 for approximately three (3) weeks.
- Work will be performed overnight between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., five (5) days a week.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Catch basins will be installed between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road. The work will be performed within a protected work zone.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear trucks, excavators, backhoes, a pile drill, drill rig, crane, concrete trucks, and other construction equipment and may experience dust from drilling activity and debris removal.
- Heavy truck traffic entering and exiting the work zone can be expected. In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment, material storage and movement within designated work zones.
- For safety, fencing, dust cloth, barriers, and scaffolding may be erected around work zones.
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
