Workzone Extension at Fairbank Station

November 5-7, 2019


What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday November 5th, 2019, the work zone along Eglinton Avenue West, west of Dufferin Street will be extended by approximately eight metres. Crews will be digging a trench to facilitate hydro connection works. Upon completion of this work, steel plates will be placed over the trench, and the work zone will go back to its original position. Pedestrian routes will remain the same. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.  

Hours of Work

  • The northwest work zone along Eglinton Avenue West will be extended from Tuesday November 5th until as early as Thursday November 7th, 2019.
  •   Work will occur between 7:00am and 11:00pm.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

What to Expect

 

  • The work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, west of Dufferin Street will be extended by 8 metres from Tuesday November 5th until as early as Thursday November 7th.  
  • Crews will be digging a trench to facilitate hydro connections.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

 

Pedestrian Details

  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open.
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
