What Work is Taking Place?
In 2019, crews have conducted a series of closures of Berwick Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street to perform supporting construction activities for TTC’s Line 1 Subway Facility Services Building. Due to the location of the new building, the work can only be carried out safely while the subway is not in operation. Read more »
Upcoming Traffic Configuration Change at Yonge and Eglinton Intersection to Support Tunnel Ventilation Shaft Construction
In mid-October 2019, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue to facilitate construction of a tunnel ventilation shaft for TTC’s Line 1 subway.
In order to facilitate the work, a new work zone will be erected in the middle of the Yonge Street between Eglinton Avenue East and Roehampton Avenue, with vehicle traffic travelling on either side of the work zone. Read more »
CANCELLATION NOTICE: Berwick Avenue Road Closures for TTC Line 1 Facility Service Building Construction September 20 – 23, 2019
Please be advised that the Berwick Avenue closure scheduled for Friday September 20, 2019 has been cancelled and has been rescheduled for one weekday between September 30 and October 11, 2019. A subsequent notice will be issued once the reschedule date has been confirmed

UPDATE: CROSS PASSAGE 10 AT LILLIAN STREET
Underground excavation work will commence in early August in the tunnels below Eglinton Avenue East at Lillian Street. This work will occur on a 24 hour basis with all works being completed below ground. The excavation will create a connection corridor underground between the north tunnel and the south tunnel. The work is expected to last for approximately two (2) weeks. Read more »
Extension of Berwick Avenue Road Closure for TTC Line 1 Facility Service Building Construction - July 16 – 22, 2019
On July 5, 2019, Berwick Avenue closed between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street to perform supporting construction activities for TTC’s Line 1 Subway Facility Services Building. Followed by two weekend closures from July 19 – 22, 2019, and July 26 – 29, 2019. An extension of the first closure, from July 15 – 19, 2019 is required due to longer than anticipated work times.
