- Work will be done overnight while traffic volumes are low.
- Minimal noise is expected from both pieces of work.
- Work may be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Crosswalk Line Painting
MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1 until APPROXIMATELY 2AM on MONDAY, OCTOBER 2
- The pedestrian crosswalk near Allen Road North will shift slightly east to accommodate ongoing shoring activities. A small crew will remove and re-paint the crosswalk across Eglinton Avenue.
- A paid-duty officer will be present.
- Eglinton will be reduced to one lane in each direction during this work.
Road Decking Inspections
7PM on MONDAY, OCTOBER 2 until APPROXIMATELY 1AM on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3
- Crews will occupy the eastbound lane on Eglinton near Allen Road South to investigate the road decking to assess the condition.
- Eglinton will be reduced to one lane in each direction during this work.
Noise Mitigation Efforts
- White noise/broadband back-up alarms on all equipment/trucks. Broadband back-up alarms, unlike traditional truck back-up alarms, are only heard within the hazard area.
