Overnight Traffic Bridge Installation at Mount Pleasant Station
Monday November 4 – Tuesday, November 5, 2019
What Work is Taking Place?
On Monday, November 4, 2019, crews will install a temporary traffic bridge within the northeast corner of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East. The temporary traffic bridge will allow work to be carried out in both corners of the intersection, while traffic travels safely over top. In order to install the traffic bridge, crews need to erect a mobile crane in the laneways of Mount Pleasant Road.
To perform this work safely, crews will be required to close Mount Pleasant Road overnight from Monday November 4 to Tuesday November 5. Installation of the traffic bridge will take place from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. If this work is completed ahead of schedule, crews will endeavour to reopen Mount Pleasant Road earlier than expected.
Northbound traffic on Mount Pleasant Road will be able to turn east and west onto Eglinton Avenue East, and southbound traffic will be redirected to Roehampton Avenue. A Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.
