Starting the week of August 24, 2015
What work is starting?
What: Enbridge Gas Distribution (Enbridge) will need to close the south end of Gilgorm Road (at Eglinton Avenue West) in order to complete the relocation of natural gas pipelines.
When: Crews will begin work as early as Tuesday August 25, 2015. It is expected that this work will be completed during business hours over the span of two days. Work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Where: The road closure will be at the south end of Gilgorm Road. The north portion of the road will be converted into a temporary two-way street to accommodate local traffic. When work is complete, the road will be returned to a one-way street.
Why: To accommodate the construction of the new Eglinton Crosstown Chaplin station, Enbridge is required to relocate natural gas pipelines. These pipelines are integral to Enbridge’s gas system and must be re-routed to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers.
Transit Information
For the safety of transit riders, TTC bus stops in the affected area will be relocated. Watch for additional signs directing pedestrians.
Traffic, Parking and Pedestrian Details

Work connected with this road closure is not expected to be conducted during the evening or overnight, however, unforeseen circumstances may require Enbridge to do so at their discretion.
