What Work is Taking Place?
Between Saturday December 18 - Sunday December 19, 2021, crews at Chaplin Station will remove the tower crane from the Main Entrance site. To perform this work safely, Chaplin Crescent will be reduced to a single lane only north of Eglinton Avenue West, alternating traffic in each direction. The westbound right turn from Eglinton Avenue West onto Chaplin Crescent will be restricted during this work. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The lane will reopen once the crane removal is complete.
What to Expect
Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. A mobile crane will be set up within the work zone to remove the pieces of the tower crane. Noise from construction equipment, including a crane and trucks, can be expected.
HOURS OF WORK
- Between Saturday December 18 - Sunday December 19, 2021
- The tower crane removal is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
