Excavation continues at the Chaplin Station. Crews are excavating at the Main Entrance, located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Chaplin Crescent and Gilgorm Road, and at the Tertiary Entrance, located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Chaplin Crescent. Crews are also excavating the station box area on the south side of Eglinton Avenue between Chaplin Crescent and Russell Hill Road. Excavators dig and remove soil from the work zone. Excavated material is transferred into dump trucks and hauled to an off-site facility. In the evening, crews weld struts to support the excavation. Installation of tie-backs occurs as excavation progresses. Excavation activities will take place between 6:00 a.m. and midnight, weekdays.
